Yasmine Bouldjedri

Scientific Editor of Echiheb Science Magazine

Yasmine Bouldjedri is an Algerian media professional holding a Master’s degree in journalism and a Bachelor’s degree in Translation. She worked as a journalist at Annasr newspaper from 2009 to 2024, where she authored numerous investigative reports and feature stories, headed the local news department, supervised the medical supplement, and oversaw the production and presentation of the Annasr Podcast.

Specializing in science journalism, Yasmine Bouldjedri has written extensively on health, the environment, astrophysics, and STEM topics. This specialization enabled her to conduct interviews with leading Algerian scientific experts, a selection of which were compiled in her recently published book, Paths of the Successful. Since October 2024, she has dedicated her efforts to science communication within the scientific research sector and currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of Echiheb Science Magazine.

Yasmine Bouldjedri has received several awards and recognitions, most notably the President of the Republic Award for Professional Journalism in Algeria, as well as a media fellowship from the African Union. She is also a member of the Oxford Climate Journalism Network and the Arab Association of Science Journalists.
