Shireen Sabanegh holds a PGDip in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and served as the Deputy Director/Exhibit Design & Development Manager at The Children’s Museum in Jordan. With over a decade of experience, her expertise spans educational content development, strategic planning, and active participation in industry networks and committees.
She has successfully forged partnerships with governmental and private sectors in Jordan, cultivated relationships with institutional peers on a national and international level, and spearheaded initiatives such as the establishment of the Mobile Children’s Museum and the Beyond Museum Walls outreach project, which served children in refugee camps and hospitals. Renowned as an accomplished leader in museum and heritage management, Shireen is recognized for her strategic vision and operational proficiency.
She offers invaluable insights, leveraging her skills to drive impactful outcomes. Additionally, Shireen is a published children’s author, adding a creative dimension to her professional journey. Currently residing in the UK, Shireen continues to contribute actively to industry networks and committees. She serves as a member of the NAMES Network Advisory and Program Committee since 2016 and has previously served on the ICOM Jordan Committee, highlighting her unwavering commitment to the advancement of the field.
