Nadia Alhasani

Dean of The College of Arts & Design at the University of Sharjah- UAE

Dr. Nadia M. Alhasani a career academician with extensive experience in teaching and administration in the UAE and USA. Dr. Alhasani is the co-recipient of the 2016 Khalifa Award for Education, 2006 Research Fellow at the Aga Khan Program at MIT, 1994 National ACSA Faculty Teaching Award, Washington DC, 1992 Graham Foundation Grant, Chicago, and 1990-91 Willard A. Oberdick Fellowship from the University of Michigan. She currently serves as a member of the Governing Board of the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy and Advisory Council of the Sharjah International Foundation for History of Arab and Muslim Sciences.

Also served on the Art Programs Reform Taskforce – UAE Ministry of Education (2021-2022), Task Force on the Teaching of Science in the Muslim World, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2014-2021), and the Academy of Engineering and Technology of the Developing World (AETDEW) under the auspice of UNESCO (2016-2021). Dr. Alhasani is a Professor of Interior Design and the College Dean.
