Kei Kano holds a PhD in life science and is a professor in the Science Communication Laboratory, Faculty of Education, at Shiga University, Japan. He is also a visiting fellow at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science at the Australian National University.
He has received the Prize for Science and Technology from Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) twice, in 2014 and 2017, in recognition of his science communication practice and research.
