Saad Lotfey is the Co-founder of SciComm X, an all-in-one science media and communication consultancy firm, and the Editor of Nature Middle East. He is a science editor, science communicator, and research engagement consultant.
Before founding SciComm X, Saad worked as Editor-in-Chief of the Arabic version of Popular Science Magazine, where he led the magazine and doubled readership 10X in one year.
Saad has worked as a science reporter and editor for well-known regional and international outlets, including Scientific American, SciDev.Net, HuffPost, Altaqadom Alelmy, Arageek, and Al Araby.
He is also the co-founder of major science communication initiatives. These include the global Science Journalism Forum, the most diverse international event for science journalism. He also co-founded the Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication, which connects more than 500 science journalists and communicators from Arab countries. In addition, he co-founded Arab Science Week, the largest science and technology celebration in the Arab region, which has attracted more than 30,000 attendees. He is also a co-founder of Scientific Arab, a digital magazine that communicates science and technology to Arab public audiences.
