With more than 23 years of experience in science journalism and science communication, Bothina Osama is a leading figure in the field. She is the Regional Coordinator for SciDev.Net in the Middle East and North Africa and the Managing Editor of its Arabic edition.
Bothina is a founding member of the Arab Science Journalists Association. She is also a co-founder of SciComm X and the Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication, as well as a co-founder of the Science Journalism Forum.
She works as a trainer and mentor in science journalism skills and regularly speaks at science and development-focused conferences around the world. Bothina is also a co-author of the Practical Guide for Arab Science Journalists. In addition, she has organized several science journalism awards across the Arab region.
