About AFSMC - Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication

The Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication is the first event of its kind in the Arab region, bringing together professionals, researchers, and practitioners interested in science media and communication.

The sixth edition of the forum will be a special edition featuring the AFSMC-PCST Symposium 2026—an extension of the Arab Forum of Science Media and Communication (AFSMC) and the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) network, a global organisation that promotes discussion on the theory and practice of communicating science, and of public discourses about science and technology and their role in society. This landmark event will bring together researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers under the theme “Science Media and Communication Teaching and Research in the Arab World. Through expert-led discussions, insightful panels, and collaborative workshops, participants will engage with cutting-edge ideas to advance science media and communication in the Arab World, with a strong focus on teaching, research, and innovation.
