Hazem Hamed Mahmoud Badr is Head of the Science Department at Al-Akhbar newspaper in Egypt. He also works as a freelance science correspondent for multiple Arab and international media outlets.
Hazem Hamed Mahmoud Badr is a recipient of the Egyptian Journalists’ Syndicate Award for journalistic interviews in 2019 and 2022. He won the Mostafa and Ali Amin Award in the category of journalistic interviews in 2023 and was awarded the Journalistic Excellence and Writing Award in the field of environment and climate change by the Egyptian Association of Environmental Writers during its second cycle in 2023.
