Fabien Medvecky is an Associate Professor in Science Communication at the Centre for the Public Awareness of Science at the Australian National University. His research examines how values shape, inform, and influence social discussions and decision-making around science. With a background in philosophy and economics, he brings a strong philosophical perspective to his work.

His primary research interests include the ethics of science communication, concepts of justice in making knowledge public, and the role of economics in discourse on science, technology, and innovation. He has also conducted extensive research on contentious and controversial sciences and technologies, particularly within the environmental domain. Fabien has worked in both Australia and New Zealand and currently serves as President of the PCST network.
