Mohamed Daoud is an Egyptian science communicator and public engager with over a decade of experience in the field.
He is considered one of the pioneers in the field in Egypt and the MENA region. He holds a master’s degree in science communication from the University of Manchester, having received the Chevening Scholarship from the British government.
Currently, he manages two EU Horizon 2020 funded projects about environmental justice. Previously, he managed numerous community-led and citizen science projects to bridge the gap between science and society in Egypt.
His work has been recognized as one of the winners of the Falling Walls Engage Breakthrough of the Year 2020 and the winner of the Study UK Alumni Social Action Award 2022. Mohamed is passionate about promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, empowering marginalized communities, particularly in the Global South, and bridging the gap between research and practice.
